The Truth Is Revealed

A week later, we discovered we didn’t need quotations for the items we sought at the hardware store. It felt as if fate had conspired to send us to that very store on that particular day. The unique temporary circumstances unveiled what we desperately needed yet had previously overlooked time and again. To our delight, a seasoned plumber revealed that the supplies we picked were nothing short of extraordinary. They were more robust and coveted than the pricier alternatives we had left behind. Ultimately, the cost we paid for those plumbing treasures was a tiny fraction of their worth.

Understanding What Is Transient And Letting Go

Ironically, the project that initially drove us to the hardware store was abruptly cancelled. Yet, instead of feeling resentful at the potential loss of an opportunity, we felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. That project’s urgency led us toward far more valuable and long-lasting treasures. They would serve us in countless future endeavours. Some events and people are destined to steer us toward more incredible things. They are doorways that we are drawn to and used to lure us into position. Their absence doesn’t signify failure or rejection but rather the conclusion of their chapter in our lives.

No one resents a doorway for not getting into a room with us. We parted ways with the vehicle that got us where we needed to be, with grace and gratitude swelled within us. It was humbling to realise fate’s effort to unearth the gems to us. The surreal chain of events culminating in such rewarding outcomes felt like a stroke of divine intervention. The Lord provided for us, even before we voiced our needs or understood the dire urgency of securing what was essential.

When Favour Finally Dawns

The emergency was highlighted the moment we set out to replace the ancient piping; the gravity of our situation struck us like lightning. Those frail, rusty pipes were worn out and on the brink of total collapse. It was almost miraculous that water still flowed through them, a testament to fortitude in the face of decay. If those pipes burst, we would have faced overwhelming structural dampness and significant destruction. Yet, in a stunning twist of fate, we reached them just in time, safeguarding our sanctuary from calamity.

Suddenly, everything fell into perspective. Even the equipment we needed to help with installing the new plumbing we found elsewhere at a bargain while looking for pet food. It was most fortuitous. The staff did not know why such expensive power tools cost so little. They had not paid attention to the prices but assured me it was not an error. Much as the gardening tools were a blessing, they were a practice session for what we were being led to. A series of random events ensured we were led to where we needed to be so our funds were sufficient to complete the necessary tasks on time. How blessed and favoured we are to have our needs met before we knew what we were lacking.

Isaiah 55:8-9: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, “declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,  so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
