Sour Grapes Part 3

People Attract Those Who Reflect Their Character

Sam and Sally are confused about why their lives aren’t improving while others seem to have everything they want. Their anger turns into hostility towards others, leaving them little else to say. They have lost their way and don’t find meaning in their college experience, which does not yield the fame and wealth they expected. They are struggling academically and think others are cheating to get good grades. If only they realized that their peers were studying hard and having positive discussions instead of plotting, insulting, and gossiping about successful students, their perspective might change.

They want the world to worsen, mirroring the couple’s struggles. Their disrespect is noticeable, and even their mentors do not offer help. The two young people show no interest in learning or personal growth, becoming cogs in the machine of life. They have made a clear choice in their moral beliefs, causing other students to distance themselves. Those students have given up on the couple, who have given up on themselves.

Those Who Stop on The Wayside

Individuals who refrain from striving for self-improvement often have ample time and energy at their disposal. In contrast, you actively engage in your tasks and work diligently towards achieving your goals. The former invest their time in scrutinizing your every action. While you are focused on learning and personal growth, they tend to criticize things out of your control, drawing your attention away from areas where you can make a difference. Often, they are not truly against you; their criticism stems from envy of your abilities. They will avoid criticizing your efforts because you have the talent to succeed in those areas.

The Ungrown Focus on the Irrelevant

Individuals may criticise you based on your inherent attributes, leading you to forsake your sense of self-worth. It is remarkable how systematic this approach to undermining others can be. It seems as though these individuals have engaged in a shared educational environment aimed at fostering disparagement. However, upon further reflection, it becomes apparent that these individuals possess an innate ability to dismantle others, a skill rooted in their personal experiences. They act as detractors of existence, lacking the fortitude to assume the spotlight, present themselves to an audience, or contribute meaningfully. They continuously disseminate the fallacies they believe will belittle others and reduce them to their own level.
