The man who could not see Part 2

Well, now I know you are unseeing and feeble of mind.

It is no wonder you risk breaking neck and hand.

If it is light, I would surely not see darkness.

Can you not see the walking stick to guide my steps?

Do you think me foolish?

I have never seen this bright sun you claim brings brightness.

Does that mean you are a liar too?

Besides, winter is many moons away.

ย

But, sir, you have only skin where your eyes should be.

Likely, you have never seen a sunny day.

I assure you, the day is as bright and light as a day could be.

Let me be on my way to park the hay.

I did not mean to offend thee.

I assumed you knew that you could not see, An affliction that must have been from birth.

ย

The man agreed that he had only seen darkness because it had not been light since he was born.

Perhaps the land was under a curse.

It is no wonder that imbeciles are all about wishing to break their necks.

โ€œBe gone before you cause me more than just verbal wounds.โ€

I dashed away from the man who slowly ambled with his stick.

I saw I would not convince him of what he could never see.

ย

The man who could not see walked away, even angrier with the young man.

Apparently, he would not heed his warming as he stumbled away at breakneck speed.

He hoped he never met such an unfortunate and foolish soul.

No wonder the land was in perpetual darkness.

At least he was better than most, the older man thought.

He was honest about the state of the world.
