We are called by Purpose.

God has different names based on his purpose. He also knows and calls us by our purpose, which reflects how we are created in his image. When God calls us, we are to act according to his will using the name assigned to that purpose. We can also call on him for the purpose we need him to fulfil in our lives.

Jeremiah 33:2-3

 “Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it, the LORD is His name: Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Isaiah 43:1-2

But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.…

May we learn to talk and hear from God in the language and context he created for us. For we are redeemed through the Saviour to be reconciled to our creator. This scripture of restoration to the Israelites applies to us all. We are reinstated to the spiritual state aligned with God through Christ, our redeemer.
