Overcoming The Jaded Eye

We need to speak up against injustice. However, fighting injustice is different from being angry. When people stop being angry, it doesn’t mean you are happy with bad things. Something will always be wrong, but if you have done your bit, you have tried. Anger is a negative emotion that eats you up. The people you are against are driven by anger and other negative emotions. There will be no difference between you and them.

There is a difference between an assertive person and a bitter one. Most people who think they are assertive are rude and judgemental. They are as hard to be around as disrespectful, unjust people.

The Product of Not Healing

Seeing people with a jaded eye is unfair to the individuals you observe and yourself. Prioritizing healing is essential for your well-being rather than solely for the benefit of others. Let’s focus on addressing the challenges within ourselves before attempting to assist others. Your efforts to bring about positive change may lose impact if driven by anger. Generally, individuals find it challenging to take embittered individuals seriously. They might think, “If I follow their lead, I may end up in a similar state.”

What Are You Passing On

If you are a positive role model, young people may emulate you without you saying much because they see how you overcome and are whole. The battle of the sexes has left many casualties in its wake. The resulting injury may be the same, be it failed romantic relationships or plans that never came to pass due to betrayal. As for people of all genders who come in feigned love, there will always be people who do that. Some people will say anything to get what they want. We have to be more discerning and see through them.

We see how most people react to daily triggers. Unless someone comes from very far away and has never interacted with them, in such cases, time resolves any blindspots concerning unsuitable people. The nature of people is hidden in their words or actions, not what other people did to you. However, previous experiences may assist in noticing unpleasant trends more quickly. That way, you don’t waste valuable time on insincere people and causes.

Choosing Our Battles

We all have our paths to follow and essential tasks to accomplish. Spending our precious time and energy in conflicts with others makes life difficult. Sometimes, it is better to be overlooked if it has nothing to do with your destiny. We have a unique purpose to fulfill; if others are not a part of it, it’s not worth engaging in their battles. Ultimately, our identity and essence should not be shaped or altered by the perceptions of others. If they do, they have succeeded in breaking us down and triumphed.

Have you managed to overcome your past and find healing from it?

Do you take a moment to contemplate your intentions?

Are you carefully selecting the battles you engage in, my fellow traveller?
