Standing In The Gap

Standing In The Gap

Ezekiel 22:30: “I searched for a man among them to repair the wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land so that I should not destroy it. But I found no one.” This time, he did not consume us with the fire of his fury. Instead, he manifested in the flesh and dwelled amongst us as Emmanuel (God with us). He endured humiliation, dearth, hostility, betrayal, hopelessness, agony, and demise as he bridged the divide. Despite being scorned by the same individuals he came to rescue, he remained the epitome of grace, dignity, integrity, and devotion. Christ permanently bridged the distance, sparing us from God’s anger and reinstating our relationship.

We Are Set Free

We are called sons and daughters of God due to the sacrifice of His Son. We now live in spiritual abundance and peace, where pain and death hold no power over us. If the Son sets you free, you are truly free. Whatever burdens our hearts and souls, we can lay at the feet of the Father, who always welcomes us. Let us stand with Christ as He stood in the gap, knowing He has done all the work, and we are merely witnesses to God’s faithfulness and grace.

Bearing Witness To The Ultimate Sacrifice

We testify to ensure that his sacrifice is not buried or denied. 3:16: “For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believes in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting”. With our lives, we witness that the Son has risen and conquered death, according to our calling. Any action we take in His name is an honour. He completed His race as a God who stood before Himself so that we might be blameless in His eyes โ€” no longer ashamed or accused.

The world may attempt to weigh us down, but it has no authority to nullify what God has declared pure. Thus, rise and stand tall as followers of Christ. Our confidence is in Him, who loved us before we knew Him. May this reminder alleviate the burdens that you have been carrying by bringing hope in challenging times.

Blessed last week of the month.
